Who funds the terrorisms at India ? Should Govt control the NGO's Activity

Yesterday , I have asked a question that who is funding terrorisms activity in India (Check “WHY Bangalore” http://brainless.instablogs.com/entry/why-bangalore/ ).
I have recently updated that : An umbrella organization representing over 300 Hindu outfits in the UK on Sunday appealed to the government to probe into reports about British charities suspected of sending funds to terrorist groups in Pakistan that have been launching attacks against India. The money they send through some NGO’s those are registered for Social work

There may more other Govt should put control over the NGO’s .

This is a very touchy subject.

I can only speak for the Philippines, by way of following the trend of thought.

In the Philippines, yes, groups that categorically belong under the umbrella of civil society have been funding some people that have accomplished terroristic attacks. The church is even said to be funding the communist rebellion, although this is more of a rumor than a conspiracy theory. However, rumors must have come somewhere.

It’s really quite easy to be an NGO, and because the objectives of a civil society group aren’t questioned at all (since they supposedly intend to upgrade social conditions), who can readily judge where those objectives actually lean towards?

As to the question: should government control NGO activity, the answer is NO if the question is CAN government control NGO activity.

This is one of the hazards (and boon) of a democratic set-up. Civil society exists precisely to be a feedback mechanism to government. So, as long as a democratic government exists, civil society will and should co-exist along with it.

I understand your point but I have seen in some cases NGO’s activity is quite interesting. I have seen that in West Bengal in Notorious ”Nandigram Issue” they are playing negative role. In some woman welfare organization ”Matangini Mahila Samiti” provoking anti govt political activity using innocent college student. Even we have seen that US consulate also visited the place without any permission (Nanur incident West Bengal). I know that some NGO’s are doing great but some of them are critically injecting Anti-Govt activity. In West Bengal they have even dropped arms from the sky.

So it’s very difficult to say who is doing what ? But when we have admitted that a parliamentary democracy then we should accept the rules of that. People criticize West bengal govt for ’Nandi Gram’ or Late Indira Gandhi for operation blue start, but that was necessary to protect the system, because somebody was challenging the system.

If we can ask our government bodies to show us where they are spending funds under RTI, then the NGOs should also fall under the same purview!!!

Saudi Arabia scrutinize all the fund which goes i and out of the Kingdom. Not even One (1) Riyal goes without any information. Our Government should also intact a law for the NGO’s. But scrutiny should have no boundary of a particular religion, every religion is same under law.
