Tata Consultancy Service(TCS), has asked about 20 employees to leave the company, for providing false records. Followed by the background verification, the company, identified the falsities in the CVs produced by the employees.
Being a customer-focused organisation, TCS took the step maintaining proper security measures. An internal investigation was launched to check on the impaired profiles and everyone involved in it, as stated by a senior official of the company. Every errant employee is issued a notice of vacating his/her respective posts. TCS is not the first one for such a move as there are other firms like Infosys, Satyam and Wipro who already have taken similar strong steps against fudged resumes. Wipro has even been reported to be sharing the database of the job applicants with false resumes; with other IT firms, to check on the grave problem.
