Good News For Indian Tigers

During last few years Tiger project of India and Nepal are not doing very well. But here is a good news for all the tigers in India , that NOKIA joins his hand with WWF in some tiger project initiative .

Under this initiative, Nokia and WWF-India, will work jointly towards providing education for sustainable growth, increasing knowledge on tiger conservation in the villages surrounding tiger reserves.

Mr. D. Shivakumar, Vice President and Managing Director, Nokia India, said, “The tiger population in India has seen an alarming decrease due to shrinking forest cover, and increased poaching. We have joined hands to spread awareness about this important cause.”

Moreover, the combined scheme would also discover alternative livelihood programmes for villagers residing around National Parks, particularly the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, which is well-known for its tigers.

Nokia would work with WWF with the intention to fortify sustainable and alternative livelihood programmes, to connect them with subsisting initiatives of other line departments of the Government of Rajasthan.

Well, but the tigers are not going to read this good news. LOL!!!

Yes it’s a good effort by both the team NOKIA and WWF. Many of the animals are subject to extinction, so there should be more such efforts to save them.

This is indeed a good news:)
Looks like tigers will be next brand ambassadors for Nokia... I only hope they don’t put up hoardings in reserve forests to advertise their initiatives.

It’s really a good news for us.But corruption, human greed and vanishing of forests are greatest hurdles before us for the success of this campaign

Best wishes to NOKIA and WWF India for their Tiger Conservation Campaign.
